Brownsville, TX – February 20, 2025 – South Heart Clinic proudly marked a new milestone yesterday with the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of its newest location in Brownsville. The event brought together South Heart Clinic leadership, medical professionals, and community members to celebrate expanded access to high-quality cardiovascular care in the Rio Grande Valley.
In attendance were CEO Tony Romero, President and Founder Dr. Hugo Blake, and Brownsville’s newest cardiologist, Dr. Guillermo Salinas, along with the South Heart Clinic administration team and local community leaders. The opening of this location
reflects the clinic’s commitment to providing expert, patient-centered heart care to Brownsville and the surrounding areas.
"This is a small footprint, but we do want to put about a 50,000-square-foot facility in place, making Brownsville a top-notch center for cardiology services," said Dr. Hugo Blake. "It is something that is long overdue, and we are going to work very hard to try and accomplish that in the next two to three years."
Dr. Salinas, who will be leading cardiology services at the new clinic, also expressed his excitement about the expansion: "I have been in the Valley since 2007, and we are excited to partner with HCA to take the facility to the next level and provide services that the community does not have yet. I am here to serve."
Located at 100 E Alton Gloor Blvd, Bldg C, STE 150, Brownsville, TX, the new clinic is now accepting new patients.
