​Martina Briseno-Lucio MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a Family Nurse Practitioner at South Heart Clinic. She has been a Registered Nurse for 34 years, and has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner for the last 8 years.
She graduated as a Registered Nurse with an associate’s degree in 1992 from UTPA Edinburg, Tx. In 2009, she graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing from University of Texas Brownsville and received a Master‘s degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from A&M University (TAMUCC) in 2016.
Her professional experience includes working at Valley Baptist Medical Center on the Cardiac flloor as a Charge Nurse, Case Manager, Supervisor and Educator for 25 years. She also volunteered from 2018-2020 at Culture of Life Ministries Family Clinic. In addition, she was a part of Texas A & M Corpus Christi Adjunct Faculty from 2018-2023.
She has worked alongside her supervising physician Dr. Michael Evans for the past 8 years caring for their patients who come from all across the Rio Grande Valley.

 

Martina's Cardiology knowledge comes from school, work and her personal life. As a congenital heart survivor, I have dealt with heart disease all of my life.
