Dr. Fuentes was born in Lima, Peru. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a minor in Biology. She then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Houston Methodist. She practices all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology including catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia as well as pacemakers and defibrillators including leadless pacemakers.
